Exploring the medium of ink in science, art, and the natural world from organic dyes to media and print, to body art.

No kids allowed—but you can still act like one.

Dip into food + drinks throughout the museum. Make your mark on the rooftop dance floor with DJ Gavin Roy. Groove to eclectic reggae jams from Rey Fresco. Enjoy live screen-printing with MindGarden creative studio, who will invite guests to make their own garments. Lotusland will mix and write with oak gall ink – a practice going back hundreds of years. Additional activities include stamp making, alcohol ink art, henna body art, and tattoo drawing with a local tattoo artist.

Don’t forget about all three floors of interactive exhibits, including MOXI’s rooftop Sky Garden, with its panoramic views of the city and ocean. This is a unique opportunity to explore the beauty, versatility, and expressive power of ink in a vibrant museum after hours.
